We always appreciate having to learn a new skill though, and the game’s initial difficultly is not out of perverseness but simply because that level of responsiveness is needed in order to navigate the roller coaster style courses – where every corner and jump is a death trap waiting to spring. Much like its immediate predecessor, the original Original Sin, OS2 allows you to play the entire story with up to three friends. The handling isn’t trying to be realistic but it’s hyper sensitive and that means an unexpectedly long learning curve before you start to feel truly in control. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a really, really good game when you play it alone, and rises to a fantastic status if you can get your pals to play it with you.

While some racing games require heavy hardware to run, there are some titles which work just fine on low-end PCs. TrackMania is an arcade racer through and through, but not in any kind of conventional way. Racing games have expanded to newer boundaries over the years. Simply being unusually colourful doesn’t seem quite enough.) But the series has always seemed in need of a more distinctive art style or some kind of visual or presentational gimmick.

Available for Windows 10 PC and Mobile, the free. Cars 2: The Video Game features both single player and multiplayer modes where you can experience this title alone or with up to 4 players. (Apart from a little screen tearing, technically the graphics are very good. It is a feature-rich game where you can race, modify and update a fleet of cars ranging from classic muscle cars to sleek European sports cars. That’s probably not what you’d expect from looking at the screenshots, which if anything look uninterestingly bland and generic.

Our usual way of describing TrackMania is as a cross between Stunt Car Racer and Roller Coaster Tycoon, which makes it as authentically odd as it sounds.
